Probiotics are a huge part of having a healthy diet, because they help the bacteria in your gut stay healthy and fed. However, a lot of people don’t get enough probiotics in their diet because they only exist in very specific fermented foods. If you don’t feel like you have a strong gut or you have problems with digestion, try this guide to eating probiotic filled meals through the day.

Breakfast

For a probiotic fix in the morning, there’s nothing better than yogurt! Any type of yogurt will have probiotics in them because that’s what gives them that classic yogurt taste. You can also have kefir, which is similar to yogurt, but thinner and less intense. Pair it with a fruit compote or some granola and you’re set!

Lunch

Miso soup is loaded with probiotics, as long as you make it yourself from unpasteurized miso paste. All you have to do is combine water, seaweed, tofu, and scallions to make this soup! Add the miso at the end once it’s off the heat because if it’s too hot, the probiotics will be killed.

Dinner

Especially when it’s warm outside, there’s nothing better than grilling some hot dogs. And as long as you put some sauerkraut on top of them, you have a probiotic meal!
