In case you’re trying to cut back on sugar, keep in mind that there are plenty of drinks we consume on a daily basis that contain way more sugar than you’d think. Thankfully, there are things we can do to help combat this. Here are a few useful tips on how to cut back on sugary drinks in the future.

Carry Water With You

Always carry a water bottle with you and that way you can increase your water intake. Plus, you won’t be tempted to buy a soda when you’re thirsty.

Avoid Sports Drinks

Sports drinks are great for boosting energy during long and heavy workouts. However, try not to drink them too often because they also contain plenty of sugar.

Avoid Store-Bought Smoothies

Smoothies are super healthy as long as you make them with nutritious ingredients and don’t load them with sugar. Unfortunately, most store-bought smoothies are packed with sugar, so it’s best to avoid  them if you’re trying to cut back on sugar.

Drink Fruit Flavored Water

In case you don’t like drinking plain water and you want to avoid drinking soda and other sugary drinks, fruit-infused water is the perfect choice for you. Add a few slices of lemon, apple, raspberries, or strawberries to water and enjoy these refreshing beverages on a daily basis without feeling guilty.
