Cooking is hard enough as it is, but it’s even harder when you have children. If you’re by yourself watching over your child at home, we all know how difficult it can be to cook simultaneously. Where do you put them while you’re balancing a heavy tray? How do you cater to your youngster’s cries while also trying to sauté a bevy of mushrooms? Here are some quick tips to help.

Invite Them to Cook With You

The best way to watch your kid and also cook at the same time is to combine both of these tasks. By inviting your child into your cooking process, you’ll give them a fun activity to do, and you’ll also teach them life skills that’ll last them forever. Obviously, it goes without saying that you should be careful.

Placement is Key

If your child can’t be bothered with learning how to cook, of if they’re a toddler, here’s another way you can watch them while cooking. Be crafty about where you place your cooking utensils, and where you stand in the kitchen. With a little bit of creativity, you might be able to keep both eyes on your children while also cooking, just by being smart about the placement of everything.
