How Not to Listen to Music While Cooking

When cooking food, there’s nothing better than grooving to some music in the background. However, there are many different ways to listen to music, and sometimes it’s important to be careful to not do it wrong. You may be thinking that there are no wrong ways to listen to music, right? On one hand, this is true, but at the same time, here are a few things to avoid.

No Earphones

As much as you think you’re being careful with your earphones, there’s always the chance that they can fall out of your ears—and right into your pot of soup. This, as you might imagine, would be terrible for your earbuds. Ultimately, there are many things in the kitchen that can destroy electronics, so be wary of that.

Laptops and iPads

This idea applies as well to laptops and iPads. You may think it’s well out of range of your cooking station, but all it takes is your young toddler to accidentally throw a glob of cake batter at your laptop, and that won’t be good for it either. Basically, the best way to listen to music in the kitchen is on a stereo system that’s in a different room.
