The winter is easier to get through when you have delicious hot drinks to keep you warm. While ordinary tea will do the trick, it is always good to shake things up and try something different. This is where our hot wine punch with oranges comes into play. This delicious drink will not only protect you from the cold, but it will easily become your new favorite winter drink. Here is how to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups red wine
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 teabag of black tea
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 dried clove buds
  • 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions:

  1. Pour water into a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add black tea and leave for 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Peel the orange and cut it into slices.
  4. Combine orange slices, cinnamon stick, and dried clove buds into a tea infuser. If you don’t have a tea infuser, you can use clean gauze or a piece of cloth.
  5. Pour the wine into the pot with black tea and heat it up at low temperature.
  6. Add the tea infuser or gauze to the pot and continue heating up for a few minutes. Make sure that the punch doesn’t boil.
  7. Pour into a cup and add one teaspoon of honey.
