The world is made up of all kinds of people, and our road to becoming healthy isn’t always the same. For many of us (and we include ourselves in that category), avoiding sweet food isn’t exactly a piece of cake (no pun intended). But this is why wise people came up with the concept of a “cheat day”—a day for you to give yourself a well-deserved break and eat some junk food. But it’s not always easy to keep those days in moderation—so here are some tips to keep your sugar intake in check.

Celebrations Are Okay

If you’re celebrating something special such as a wedding or graduation, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a little bit of sweet food. If you’re at a fancy dinner and there’s a chocolate lava cake in front of you, go for it. In fact, we recommend it. You deserve it!

What To Know About “Cheat Day”

During your weekly cheat day, if you engage in such a thing, it’s important not to let it get out of hand. Cheat day doesn’t mean that you shovel chocolate down your throat throughout the entirety of the day. It means that you can eat something small or at the very least an unhealthy dinner such as a pizza.
