There is nothing better than Asian takeout on a rainy day in. We are here to share some of our favorite easy Asian dishes you can make at home. This is a fun activity to cook with friends and a cheaper option than ordering takeout every time you get a craving.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

This is almost everyones’ go-to meal when ordering Asain. Sweet and sour chicken is a popular Asian entree with fried chicken pieces in a sweet and sour sauce that is slightly spicy. Start by cutting the cubes into pieces and deep fry until golden brown. Toss the fried pieces into the sauce made with soy sauce, garlic, red chili flakes, and hoisin sauce. The final step is to sprinkle sesame seeds and enjoy.

Asian Slaw

This is the perfect way to eat your vegetables—it is delicious and healthy. While it has a lot of ingredients, it is a straightforward recipe, and many supermarkets have most of these veggies precut. You need shredded coleslaw, shredded carrots, bell peppers thinly sliced, scallions, and shelled edamame. All you need to do is combine in a bowl and mix well. Elevate the dish by adding a ginger peanut dressing, made with honey, oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, minced ginger, and garlic with a generous spoonful of peanut butter. Mix well in a bowl and drizzle on the salad.
