Buying some guacamole dip in the store helps you avoid going through the hassle of making it from scratch. However, it also usually results in an underwhelming experience for your tortilla chips snacking session.

Now, one way to avoid this would be to simply set aside time and make your own guacamole. Other is a lot faster and includes simply improving the store-bought version.

Add Fresh Lime Juice

To bring some life to the store-bought guacamole, add a splash of fresh lime juice and then mix well. This will stop the browning, enhance the flavor, and get the ingredients properly mixed.

Step Up the Chopped Onions

It doesn’t matter that the store-bought guacamole already has onions. Adding more to it can only make it better, giving you a sense of freshness and boosting the flavor.

Add Salt and Black Pepper

Sometimes, store-bought guacamole tastes off just because it is not seasoned properly. Adding some salt and black pepper solves the problems and results in a big improvement.

Mix in Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt

This might be controversial, but it does the job. Adding just a single dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt to the guacamole will make it creamy and give it a bit of a tangy kick.
