Hellmann’s Shares a Recipe for Mayonnaise Eggnog

With the holiday season being around the corner, having extra eggnog recipes up your sleeve can’t hurt. Especially if they don’t require you to use eggs.

Condiment maker Hellmann’s recently joined forces with mixology expert Cody Goldstein to work out a recipe for eggnog that uses mayonnaise instead of eggs. The recipe is a variation of frozen eggnog, and results in a drink fittingly named MAYO-NOG.

Now, before you get all defensive about using mayonnaise in a drink, you should look at the way it looks. Because we would definitely try it.

“Wild new way to transform your rich and creamy Hellmann’s Mayo into a magical holiday treat—a frozen mayo-nog!” promise Hellmann’s and Goldstein.

How to Make a Mayo-Nog

If the idea of mayonnaise in eggnog hasn’t scared you away, then you might as well try the recipe. In order to mix it up, you will need the following ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise
  • 3 ounces Whole Milk
  • 3 ounces Heavy Cream
  • 3 ounces Simple Syrup
  • 1⁄2 tsp Nutmeg, grated
  • 1⁄2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, powder
  • 1 1/2 ounces Rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces Apple Brandy
  • 1 1/2 ounces Cognac
  • 1 cup Ice

Once you have your ingredients ready, simply combine them in a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with powdered cinnamon, get some cookies, and enjoy your drink.
