Healthy French Fry Alternatives

We crave those crispy, crunchy, oily french fries just about every evening when I eat dinner. McDonald’s is only a two-minute drive away! If you’re like me and trying to eat as healthy as possible, make one of these fry variations at home to stave off the craving for the classic favorite savory food.

Sweet Potato Fries

Slice up sweet potatoes and thin as possible, then toss them with organic olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Bake them at 400 degrees until they begin to brown.

Zucchini Fries

Cut a zucchini into long strips. Wrap the strips in a paper towel and wring lightly to rid of excess water. Dip the dried strips into a whisked egg, then into a combination of spices (salt, pepper, garlic, whatever your heart desires). Bake at 425 degrees until crispy.

Asparagus Fries

Dip each asparagus into an egg mixture, then into a mix of salt, pepper, and panko breadcrumbs. Place on a baking sheet, and cook until they begin to brown!
