Gingerbread Desserts to Celebrate the Season

Christmas will be here before we know it, and one of our favorite ways to get into the spirit is baking. With Halloween and Thanksgiving behind us, we’re ready to say goodbye to pumpkin-spice season and start utilizing some other holiday flavors. Peppermint, candy cane, and eggnog are all great options, but in our opinion, nothing will ever beat gingerbread. We love the tradition of making gingerbread people and houses, though we’ve also got a few go-to recipes for when we’re in the mood for something a little more indulgent. 

Vegan Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls

As if cinnamon rolls weren’t already the perfect option for Christmas morning breakfast, this recipe takes them to a new level with the addition of molasses, ground spices, and cream cheese frosting. No one will ever guess it’s entirely plant-based!

Gingerbread Sandwich Cookies

An old favorite, just with an upgrade. Delicious cream cheese frosting sandwiched between two classic gingerbread man cookies, all topped with a dusting of powdered sugar. Good luck saving these bad boys for Santa.

Vegan Gingerbread Caramel Tart

If gingerbread alone doesn’t quite do it for you, try using it alongside some other flavors. This tart starts with a homemade gingerbread crust and features a gooey caramel filling, all topped with a rich chocolate ganache.
