With the weather outside still as hot as it is, it’s almost impossible to believe that summer is almost over. We’re about to switch from lazy pool days with a cocktail in hand, to crunchy leaves and pumpkin spice latte. Yes, that’s right, fall is just around the corner.
Pumpkin spice has become synonymous with the forthcoming season, infiltrating everything from candle scents to hummus (we don’t recommend the latter…) Something else that will be embracing the official flavor of the season is the humble Oreo.
Later this month, the cookie will be available in pumpkin spice form. Although Oreo enjoys consistently bringing out new flavors, this is an oldie but a goodie that it has decided to bring back from 5 years ago.
“Oreo first brought limited-edition Oreo Pumpkin Spice Sandwich Cookies to shelves in 2014 and they were last available in 2017,” a spokesperson for the branded stated. “Oreo is excited to bring back a fan-favorite, while supplies last, for the 2022 Fall season.”
The autumnal version will feature Oreo’s “Golden” cookies which will be sandwiched together with a pumpkin spice crème filling.
The limited edition treats can be found on shelves from August 15.
