TikTok is a strange little vortex where almost anything goes. From tips on how to best apply blush, to armpit masks, TikTok users have seen some things. That said, the social media platform has also seen a plethora of food trends and recipes that we have taken into our own kitchen. This is what everyone was talking about in 2022.

Cloud Bread

Cutting out carbs is super hard. If bread is something you have been craving on your low-carb eating plan, TikTok is here to help. Cloud bread requires only three ingredients—eggs, sugar, and cornstarch—to create a light, fluffy “bread” that kind of jiggles. And because this is TikTok, people have also added food coloring to make it as aesthetic as possible.

Butter Boards

A new spin on the charcuterie board, these will satisfy you as a butter lover or turn you into one. They involve spreading softened butter on a board and adding whatever toppings you like. They range from figs to flowers, micro herbs to honey. Get some crusty bread and indulge.

Salmon Rice Bowls

We all love sushi, but not all of us have the time (or skill) to make it. Enter the deconstructed version known as a salmon rice bowl. It involves combining cooked salmon (leftovers work wonderfully), rice, soy sauce, sriracha, and kewpie mayonnaise, and then scooping it up with dried seaweed sheets.
