Espresso Martinis are Coming to Delta Flights

Your flying experience just got a whole lot better, thanks to Delta’s newest addition.

For decades, tomato juice has been the drink of choice when flying. This is actually backed by science, as it is harder for our tastebuds to discern flavors at 30,000 miles above sea level, tomato juice’s umami-ness shines through.

Some, of course, prefer something alcoholic onboard. A vodka soda? Glass of wine? How about an espresso martini?

The latter is not readily available on most flight’s, but Delta is now rectifying that situation.

As part of its menu makeover, the agenda will be adding Tip Top Proper Cocktails’ Espresso Martini to its line-up. Made with Counter Culture Coffee, the boozy beverage is served in a can and features rich notes of roasted coffee and vanilla bean.

The martinis will be available to passengers in all cabins in select domestic and international flights from March.

In addition to the cocktail, Delta will be re-introducing its dessert cart on Delta One, offering regional dishes inspired by the destination country, menu items from Gramercy Tavern in New York, and even the signature Cheesesteak from hip-hop musician, Questlove.
