Pop superstar Ed Sheeran recently had a show in Seattle and decided to use the opportunity to get a side gig. Sheeran worked a shift at Starbucks, serving drinks to customers and helping the coffee chain launch its signature Pumpkin Spice Latte.
While fall is still some time away, Starbucks decided to bring the season’s flavors a bit early by bringing back Pumpkin Spice Latte in late August. Sheeran ended up being the perfect candidate to announce the news to the world, considering he has an album titled “Autumn Variations” coming out on September 29th.
In a video posted on his Instagram, Sheeran shared some snippets from his busy day, and judging by the clip, he seemed to have done a pretty good job.
“Launching the Pumpkin Spice Latte to celebrate the announcement of Autumn Variations here in Seattle,” Sheeran wrote in the caption of the video. “Thanks for having me @starbucks, if you gave me your name, I gave you a new one, for I am the barista of joy. Autumn is coming, September 29th.”
This isn’t the first time that Sheeran has given a helping hand to food and drinks businesses. During his ongoing tour across the United States, the “Shape of You” singer also served hot dogs at Chicago’s The Wieners Circle and made Philly cheesesteaks at Philip’s Steaks in Philadelphia.
