Frozen meals are so yesterday. Healthy, home made meals are the new thing and now they are easier than ever to make!
Layered Macaroni and Cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook and drain two cups of macaroni.
- Cook one lb of ground beef on medium heat over the stove for five to seven minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.
- In a 2-quart saucepan, melt two cups butter and stir in 2 tbsp of flour. Cook for one minute and stir in two cups of milk.
- Cook for five to six minutes, stirring every so often. Add broth and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Remove from heat; stir in cheese and macaroni.
- Spoon 1/3 of the macaroni mixture into a greased two-quart casserole dish. Top with 1 1/2 cups of cooked beef. Repeat until the dish is full.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Hamburger Helper Crunchy Taco’s
- Cook beef on medium heat (five to seven minutes).
- Stir in one cup milk and one cup water. From a Hamburger Helper box, stir in the included sauce.
- Add rice included in the box.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a bowl, stir 1/3 cup milk and topping (from the box) for 30 seconds.
- Heat tortilla’s and add ground beef and cheese sauce.
- Garnish with onion, guacamole, or tomatoes if desired.
