Do You Love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? Then You’ll Love These Homemade Versions

Chocolate and peanut butter, we’ll wait for a more iconic duo. If you love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or the Trader Joe’s version, you’ll love these homemade mini versions. They’re actually super easy to make and they only require three ingredients! You may want to double or triple the recipe as they’re that delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 6 ounces chocolate (1 cup regular-sized chocolate chips)
  • flaky sea salt, optional

Instructions:

  1. Combine the peanut butter and maple syrup in a small bowl, and stir until well blended.
  2. Fill a mini cupcake pan with liners or arrange mini cupcake liners on plates.
  3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30-second bursts, stirring after each one or with a double boiler on the stove.
  4. Fill the bottom of each cup with 1 teaspoon of the melted chocolate. Add a small dollop of the peanut butter mixture in the center, about 1/2 teaspoon. Top with another teaspoon of chocolate.
  5. Freeze the candies for 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle sea salt lightly over the tops, then freeze until firm for about 25 minutes more.
