Cookies are one of the most fun desserts to make, in large part because they are so customizable. There are tons of doughs and mix-ins to mix and match for a perfect cookie no matter what mood you’re in. The classic chocolate chip cookie reigns above them all as the most common and most obvious, but the dough on its own may get a little repetitive. So here are some fun doughs to try out for something new.

Red Velvet

As an even richer take on chocolate dough, red velvet’s dark red color will always pop when you serve them. Most mix-ins will work well with this flavor, but the best is usually white chocolate chips or vanilla frosting on top.

Pumpkin Spice

As fall comes through, pumpkin spice once again reigns supreme as the most widely-used flavor, and there’s no reason your cookie dough should be excluded. The best way to go about this would likely be to make a snickerdoodle, but to introduce some pumpkin and spice or pumpkin spice syrup to your dough.

Banana Coconut

If you’re vegan, you might have trouble finding egg and butter replacements that really suit you. With this banana and coconut butter dough, the replacements are the whole point (as banana works as an egg replacement).
