Coffee used to fall into two major categories: brewed coffee and instant coffee. Such is still the case for the most part, except that there are about a million different variations as well. In this day and age, there is something called cold brew that is incredibly trendy. Here’s what it is, and why people are so obsessed with it.
A Practical Iced Coffee
Cold brew is similar to an iced coffee, except without all of the bells and whistles. It used to be that if you wanted a brewed coffee that was nice and cold, you went over to a Starbucks and ordered an iced coffee. But nowadays, all you have to do is go to the supermarket and buy yourself a large bottle of cold brew.
Just like there are multiple varieties of regular brewed coffee, this is also the case with cold brew. You can get kinds that are stronger and unsweetened, you can buy kinds that are flavored and sweetened, and the list goes on and on. If you love brewed coffee that’s nice and cold, and you’ve never tried some tasty cold brew, head on down to your local Trader Joe’s and buy yourself a bottle!
