Check Out Mindy Kaling’s Favorite Plant-Based Foods

TV star Mindy Kaling enjoys sharing her favorite foods with her Instagram followers, so we checked out her posts for some inspiration. We noticed that she likes plant-based meals a lot, although she doesn’t follow a vegan diet at all times. Back in March, she posted a video where she cooks a butternut squash soup and said that one of her New Year’s resolutions was to eat less red meat.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of my very healthy, awesome friend Natalie Portman, who is vegan and does great recipes online, and I want to do something similar. There are some really good nutritious [soups] that are also vegan,” Kaling says in the video.

Another video shows The Office star making banana ice cream: “Just trying to see what all of this banana ice-cream hype is about.” She puts the ingredients in a blender in no specific order, not even measuring the exact amount, knowing it’s going to turn out delicious no matter what. Besides frozen bananas, the other ingredients that she uses are powdered chocolate and peanut butter.

Plant-based foods look very tempting in these videos, don’t you think? We’re all up for the idea of having plant-based meals and desserts, especially during hot summer days.
