Cat Lovers Have to Visit This Feline-Inspired Pop-Up!

A new pop-up restaurant in New York City believes that cats deserve their food to be just as tasty as we do.

You may have heard of Fancy Feast, the brand of gourmet cat food which creates treats for your kitty like chopped salmon and shrimp, roasted chicken, and tender beef. In celebration of its new Medley range, the company is now enquiring, “what if cat food was more like Italian cuisine?”

That question will be answered at the Gatto Bianco pop-up restaurant which translates from Italian as “White Cat”. The establishment, which we have been assured is for people, will be open on August 11 and 12 and serve a menu created by Fancy Feast’s in-house chef Amanda Hassner and restaurateur Casare Casella.

“Food has the power to connect us to others in meaningful ways and take us to places we have never been. The same is true for our cats,” Hassner has said. “The dishes at Gatto Bianco are prepared in ways that help cat owners understand how their cats experience food — from flavor, to texture, to form — in a way that only Fancy Feast can.”

So what’s on the menu?

Think baked sea bass, Osso Bucco-inspired salmon, Tuscan-style spare ribs, braised beef in a wine sauce, lemon panna cotta, and almond cake studded with chocolate.

Sounds meow-velous!
