With work from home being a permanent option for many people, we’re all trying to find the best place in our home to fit a home office. The living room and the bedroom are the most common options for those who can’t spare a whole room and turn it into an office, but what if you want a different solution? It’s possible to have an office space in the kitchen and here’s how.

Find Unused Space

Every kitchen has corners and areas we don’t really use, so find them and think about how you can get the max out of them. Consider moving things around until you find the perfect spot for your future office. If you work on a laptop, you don’t need much space. Perhaps you can add a small kitchen island in the middle or find another way to use the space you have.

Dining Table

It’s commonly seen as a temporary solution, but there’s no reason why your dining table shouldn’t act as a desk too, especially if you prefer eating in the living room in front of the TV. It’s not a solution that works for everyone, but it’s a great space saver.

Smart Storage

Depending on the work you do, you may have more or less office supplies. It’s not too difficult to hide them in the kitchen cabinets and drawers and still have them accessible when you need them. All you need is some reorganizing.
