Another day, another Oreo flavor! The famous cookie is not shy when it comes to reinventing itself as a new taste sensation tends to appear as the seasons change.
Gone are the days when an Oreo was a creme filling sandwiched between two dark chocolate biscuits. Depending where you are in the world, you can find Green Tea Oreos, Dulce de Leche Oreos, and Pumpkin Spice Oreos. There have also been a variety of limited edition cookies ranging from Banana Split to Birthday Cake, Watermelon, and Candy Corn.
While some flavors have certainly been better than others, we have to say that 2022’s limited edition Oreo sounds rather yummy! The brains behind the biscuit will launch Snickerdoodle Oreos in October.
“The cookies feature a snickerdoodle flavored basecake and cinnamon flavor creme with green and red sugar crystals,” states the official description.
The new flavor was also announced in a unique way as the brand encouraged its Twitter followers to decode a secret message left in a series of tweets.
“Want to know the next OREO Cookie flavor? Read the first word of our last 8 tweets,” declared the company. The words spelled out: “Our Next OREO Cookie Flavor Is Snicker Doodle.”
The new flavor hits shelves on October 17.
