Bring Out Your Grill For These Delicious Kebabs

Kebabs are the perfect outdoor summer dish. You just load up a skewer full of delicious ingredients, grill to perfection, and serve on the same skewer. You can completely customize them to make sure everyone gets something they want, and the possibilities for the flavor combinations are endless. Try them tonight and have a perfect summer meal.

A great kebab has at least one protein and one vegetable cut into approximately the same size so they cook at the same time. You can use a variety of proteins from soy-based for vegan and vegetarians, to regular cuts of meat for carnivores. Don’t forget to soak your skewers in water before so they don’t burn! 

Combinations

Vegan – marinate cubes of tofu in soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha. Finish the kebabs with bell peppers and mushrooms and grill!

Vegetarian – put chunks of halloumi cheese with cherry tomatoes and bell peppers on a skewer. (Don’t worry the halloumi cheese will not melt!). Finish with lemon juice and mint after they’ve come off the grill.

Chicken – marinate cubes of chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, and oregano. Add pieces of tomatoes, zucchini squash, and red onion and grill!
