Ben & Jerry’s Has Added a Cool New Flavor to Its Dairy-Free Range (And its Gluten-Free, Too!)

There is nothing quite as exciting as hearing that there is a new flavor of Ben & Jerry’s on the shelf. The brand has been pushing the ice cream envelope for more than four decades and the interesting flavors keep coming!

The newest addition is the first of 2023 and a win for the vegan and gluten-free communities. Even more so, it’s triggering a bit of nostalgia.

Featuring a vanilla base, chunks of vegan oatmeal cookies, and swirls of marshmallow—this is the new Oatmeal Dream Pie.

The cookies come from an allergy-aware company called Partake. Its products are totally free of wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame, and shellfish.

The new flavor will also be a happy throwback for those who enjoyed Oatmeal Cookie Chunk. The beloved ice cream was sadly discontinued in 2012 after being on shelves for eight years.

“When our team of Flavor Gurus brainstorm the creation of any new flavor, we have all Ben & Jerry’s fans in mind, including those with or without food restrictions and allergies,” said Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Guru, Chris Rivard. “We wanted to bring a nostalgic sweet treat to life that everyone would enjoy — partnering with Partake to bring this non-dairy and gluten-free option to Ben & Jerry’s fans everywhere was an oatmeal dream come true!”
