Do you love gin, but you’re not super into gin and tonics? Gin works well with citrus and fresh herbs, which makes it super refreshing during the summer. Bee’s Knees cocktails are lightly sweetened and the perfect drink to sip on your patio. Here’s how to make them.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 ounce honey syrup
- 1 ounce lemon juice (about 1/2 medium lemon)
- 2 ounces gin
- Lemon twist, for garnish
Instructions:
- To make the honey syrup, combine equal parts honey and water in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan. Warm in the microwave or over the stovetop until you can stir the honey into the water.
- Use a vegetable peeler or channel knife to peel off a strip of zest from your lemon for your twist.
- To make the cocktail, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in honey syrup, lemon juice, and gin. Make sure the lid is fastened and shake until the mixture is very cold, for about 30 seconds.
- Strain the drink into a coupe or martini glass. Twist the lemon peel over the cocktail to release the oils and drop it in.
- Enjoy!
