There’s an old saying that nothing in life is perfect, and that’s definitely true when it comes to food and drink. Most things that you can consume, as amazing as they are, have somewhat of a catch. Heck, even water, as healthy as it is, is bland and devoid of vitamins. You see what we’re getting at? But right now we’re not going to talk about water. We’re going to talk about two popular drinks that are incredibly refreshing—and why you should be careful when it comes to them.

Orange Juice and Lemonade

Ah yes, orange juice and lemonade. The citrussy drinks that you always associate with relaxation, refreshment, and just overall good vibes. When you used to sell drinks in front of your house when you were a kid, it was usually lemonade, and that’s because everyone loves it. However, as amazing as both of these drinks are, there’s a reason to think twice before drinking them.

They’re Highly Acidic

As delicious as these two drinks are, they’re also incredibly acidic. So while you might think it’s okay to be chugging it on a regular basis, we’d hold off if we were you. Moderation is important, and that’s certainly true when it comes to these two drinks. They’re both good as occasional refreshments, but not as frequent drinks to consume.
