Bake Your Bacon Perfectly in the Oven

If you want to cook some bacon, there are many ways to do it. You can use a griddle, a deep-fryer, and even your microwave. But the best way to cook bacon is by baking it in the oven.

Since bacon contains a lot of fat, you need to cook it gradually using a low temperature. This helps render most of the fat away. Still, you’ll be left with crispy bacon with a perfectly golden-brown color.

First of all, if you want to end up with perfectly-cooked bacon, don’t pre-heat your oven. Start with a cold oven to make sure that your bacon will cook gradually.

On a sheet pan, arrange the slices of bacon. Then place the pan in the oven and close the door. Then turn your oven on to 400˚F and leave it to cook for about 20 minutes or so.

The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the slices as well as how quickly your oven heats up. You’ll know that it’s done when the bacon has a golden-brown color without being too crisp.

Once done, take the pan out of the oven and transfer the slices of bacon to a dish which you’ve lined with some paper towels.
