The chocolatier based in Los Angeles has teamed up with Velveeta to create something truly unique (and a bit bizarre…). Deemed the TruffVel, it is a take on a traditional truffle that definitely has a spin. After all, how often do you put chocolate and cheese in your mouth at the same time?
“Compartés sweet white chocolate paired with the creamy delicious bite of Velveeta for a unique sensation unlike any other,” reads the announcement. “The iconic custom shell shape is made to mirror Velveeta Shells and Cheese and was created by infusing Velveeta cheese Sauce into Compartés award-winning chocolate to create a match made in culinary heaven.“
This is not the first time that Velveeta has been presented to us in an unusual form. A cheese-scented nail polish was released last June, and who can forget the Velveeta Martini which included vodka that had been infused with cheese sauce?!
Five TruffVels are included in every box of the Velveeta and Compartés collaboration which retails at $24.95.
