Mastering the Avocados

The most important part of a guacamole recipe is getting the avocados right. Everything that comes after that can be altered in different ways, but you need to make sure that the first step goes right.

Make sure the avocado you choose is perfectly ready, meaning it’s not too mushy and it’s also not too hard. You want it to be just right, and once you start mashing it, you also want the consistency to be just right. Aim for it to be just chunky enough to provide ample texture while also smooth enough that it’s an actual dip.

Adding the Rest
