Every pasta bake starts, of course, with pasta. You can choose whatever type you like, but just make sure to cook it exactly to al dente, because if it goes for too long, you’ll end up with mushy pasta.

Sauce

Whether you’re using a red sauce, cream sauce, pesto, or a combination – you always want to cover the pasta in it before it goes into a baking dish. That will ensure that every piece is coated properly. If you want to use more than one, coat the pasta in one and then use the other as part of the layers.
