You love pizza. We love pizza. Everybody loves pizza. But how much pizza do you love?

The Guinness World Record for the largest pizza was recently set in Los Angeles, and let’s just say that no one is going to go hungry. The pie was so enormous, in fact, that it had to be housed at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Until January 20, 2023, the largest pizza in the world was created by a group of Italian chefs. In December 2012, Dovilio Nardi, Andrea Mannocchi, Marco Nardi, Matteo Nardi, and Matteo Giannotte made a pizza in Rome that measured 13,508.28 feet. It was even gluten-free.

The version which has now claimed the title was a collaboration between Pizza Hut and YouTube star Airrack whose real name is Eric Decker.

The motivation for the LA attempt was to celebrate Pizza Hut’s Big New Yorker returning to the menu. And no slice was left unturned.

The 13,990 square-foot pie featured 13,653 pounds of dough, 4,948 pounds of sauce, more than 8,800 pounds of cheese, and 630,496 pounds of pepperoni!

Once Guinness had performed its evaluation, all 68,000 slices of pizza were donated to local food banks.
