Scrambled eggs are probably one of the most beloved breakfast dishes worldwide. What’s there not to love? They’re tasty, can be customized in many ways, and thanks to their high protein content, they’ll give you plenty of energy to start your day.

But while making ordinary scrambled eggs isn’t a science, making them perfect actually is. In their recent video, YouTube channel Fine Dining Lovers touched on the subject and shared some helpful hacks that will help you make better scrambled eggs. Check them out below.

Add An Extra Yolk

After cracking the desired amount of eggs in the bowl, add an extra egg yolk to the mixture. Having an extra yolk will increase the fat ratio, add moisture, and infuse your scrambled eggs with even more flavor.

Wait Before Salting

Most people immediately add salt to the eggs even before they start scrambling them. This is a mistake as, according to Fine Dining Lovers, it “messes” with the way proteins form when the eggs are heated. It is always better to salt scrambled eggs shortly before taking them off the stove.

Scramble Using a Fork

The best tool to scramble eggs is a fork. Using a whisk will introduce too much air to the eggs, and they will come up rubbery. Also, the best motion to do it is side by side.

Start Cold

Don’t preheat your pan before dropping the eggs in it. Instead, add both butter and eggs to the cold pan and put it on low heat. Mix while the pan is heating up, cooking the eggs, and melting be butter as you go. This will cause the eggs to have a creamy texture.
