Pigs in a blanket are a perfect choice for parties, movie nights, or when you want to have a quick snack. However, considering that it is time-consuming to make from scratch, most people will simply pick up the frozen variety. Still, just because you want to save some time and effort doesn’t mean you should put frozen pigs in a blanket into an oven and call it a day. Instead, use one of these simple ways to improve them, and they will taste amazing.

Add Some Seasoning on the Top

Frozen pigs in a blanket will taste much better if you sprinkle some seasoning on top before baking. You can use sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning, or just some coarse salt. To make sure that the seasoning sticks, brush the top of the pigs in a blanket with egg wash.

Brush with Garlic Butter

Garlic butter is an amazing addition to frozen pigs in a blanket. This will enhance the flavor and completely transform this iconic finger food. You can use store-bought garlic butter or make one yourself by combining butter and freshly chopped or roasted garlic.

Cover with Shredded Cheese

Cheese and pigs in a blanket sound like an otherworldly combination because they are. Cover the pigs in a blanket with the desired amount of shredded cheese before baking and pop them into the oven. The cheese will nicely melt and wrap around the pastry, giving you a decadent snack.
