You Need to Try This Carrot Cake Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a great meal to incorporate into your diet, with many added health benefits. Oatmeal is often considered to be bland and boring to eat every day. Here is our favorite way to make oatmeal more fun and tasty—carrot cake style. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 carrots, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Natural liquid sweetener of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Add oats to the saucepan
  2. Cover the oats with the milk of your choice.
  3. Add one grated carrot and the cinnamon to the mixture.
  4. Mix well and continuously stir over a medium heat until the mixture has doubled in size and looks fluffy.
  5. Once the oats are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and pour the mixture into a bowl.
  6. Top off with another grated carrot, more cinnamon, and a drizzle of honey, maple syrup, or agave.
