Uncommon Condiments Worth Trying

What would food be without condiments? They’re like the cherry on top of the proverbial sundae, adding flavor, texture, and joy to an otherwise plain or boring meal. But most of us tend to use the same, predictable (sorry, ketchup) condiments over and over instead of trying out exciting new ones. Well, not anymore! Add these three condiments to your kitchen and your life will change forever. Yum!

Tahini

A Middle Eastern condiment made from ground toasted sesame seeds, tahini is so versatile that it’s almost a tragedy that most people aren’t using it more often. Put it on your avocado toast, over your buddha bowl, as salad dressing, on your burger, or as a dipping sauce for your veggies.

Truffle Oil

Made from truffles, those expensive ingredients that you’ll find in nearly every dish at a fancy restaurant, truffle oil isn’t cheap but it sure is delicious. You can use it on pretty much anything from pasta to soup to salad and it will make it taste rich, fancy, and luxurious.

Kewpie Mayo

Kewpie mayo is basically like the upgraded, super version of regular mayonnaise, made with egg yolks and rice vinegar. So in any dish that you’d typically use mayo in, like an egg salad, try using kewpie mayo instead. You’ll be able to taste the difference.
