There is nothing better than a home-cooked meal. But the truth is that cooking requires attention and patience, which is something we don’t always have. If you get stuck in a situation like that, turning to a single ingredient meal is a great way to avoid being hungry. They are ready to eat quickly, and you don’t have to spend much time prepping. So let’s check out some of them!

Microwaved Eggs

Crack two eggs in a microwave-safe mug, season them with salt and pepper, and thoroughly stir with a fork. Cover the mug with some plastic wrap (while leaving one corner open for better airflow) and microwave it for one minute. Voila, you have yourself a breakfast.

Boiled Broccoli

If you have some broccoli lying around, then you have all it takes for a meal. Wash the broccoli and break apart the florets. Bring a pot of salted water to boil, put the broccoli florets inside and cook for a couple of minutes. Drain them, transfer them to a plate, garnish with some salt and pepper, and munch on.

Oven French Fries

Frying French fries is a demanding task that requires your undivided attention. But making them in the oven is a much simpler and quicker job. Just slice few potatoes in thin wedges, place them on a pan lined with oiled parchment paper, and pop into a preheated oven (450F). Bake for 20 minutes while flipping them once midway through. Salt them after and pair them with some ketchup or barbecue sauce if you wish.

Banana Ice Cream

Slice up few bananas and pop them into a freezer for a couple of hours. After they are frozen, put them in a blender and blend until you get a smooth, ice-cream like, consistency. Yeah, it’s simple as that. And unbelievably tasty!
