With New Year’s Day coming up, you’ll surely be looking to whip up a meal that takes your family’s celebrations to the next level. Naturally, a succulent turkey is a popular main course. Here are some tips to help you season your turkey so that you can extract the best possible flavor.

Dry Brine

This traditional method of seasoning is popular for a reason. All you have to do is rub your herbs of choice all over the turkey with two tablespoons of salt. Place the turkey in a plastic bag and refrigerate.

Glaze It

Stir some maple syrup, orange juice, and fresh sage together before basting this glaze all over the bird before cooking. Save some of the mixture and glaze the turkey further once you take it out of the oven.

Switch Up Spices

While your regular spices may make your turkey taste delicious, consider experimenting with new spice mixes. For all you know, you’ll discover a delicious new flavor that you’ve never learned.
