The Foolproof Way to Reheat Leftover Rice

Many of us tend to forget about the leftover rice until it’s cold and dry, at which point it can only be thrown out. If you’re tired of making fresh rice every day, here’s a simple trick for reheating leftovers that will help you cook more at once and have it ready for a few days.

This hack comes straight from TikTok. User @caloriequeen14 posted a video that shows the easiest method for reheating the leftover rice. It involves a microwave and an ice cube, and if you have these two things, you can do this foolproof method whenever you want. Even when stored in a closed box in the fridge, rice gets dry over time and an ice cube is a perfect ingredient that brings the moisture back to it.

When you add an ice cube to previously cooked rice and microwave it, you may expect to get a puddle of water in your rice bowl. Instead, the heat from the microwave will release the moisture from ice and make your rice soft and fluffy again.

You can check out the process in the TikTok video below and try it out yourself when you get the chance. It won’t fail you!
