]]>To begin, gather high-quality roasted peanuts, as they form the foundation of your creamy creation. Choose between unsalted or lightly salted peanuts, depending on your preference.
Place the peanuts in a food processor and blend until they reach a smooth and velvety consistency. You can add a touch of sweetness by incorporating honey or maple syrup, or even experiment with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract for an extra flavor boost.
Once your peanut butter is ready, transfer it to a clean jar and store it in the refrigerator. Homemade peanut butter tends to have a more natural texture compared to commercial brands, which often contain added oils or sugars. Spread this wholesome goodness on your favorite toast, drizzle it over oatmeal, or use it as a delectable dip for fruits and vegetables.

]]>This recipe by So Much Food is sure to hit the spot when you’re in the mood for something fresh and fruity. It’s packed with strawberries and topped with a brown sugar crumble that can be made gluten-free by swapping the all-purpose flour for any flour of your choice. Top it with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream, and you’ve got summer in a bowl.
As much as we love cupcakes, we find that having to fill a tin of 24 individual cakes takes some of the fun out of the experience. At that point, we’d rather just make a full-sized cake and be done with it. For those times when we just want something sweet and simple, this recipe by Dessert for Two is one of our go-to’s. It actually yields 4 cupcakes, but we’re not complaining.
We’re firm believers that when it comes to desserts, nothing goes together better than peanut butter and chocolate. If you agree, we highly recommend trying these no-bake bars by Beaming Baker. They contain just five ingredients and can easily be made vegan with dairy-free chocolate chips.

]]>As frequent fliers will know, the Transportation Security Administration is very particular about what can and can’t go on a flight. Only liquids weighing less than 3.4 ounces are permitted to go in a carry on. Anything higher needs to be packed in your suitcase and checked in.
Just in case you were wondering where that jar of peanut butter should go, it isn’t in your hand luggage…
Podcaster Patrick Neve attempted to take a jar through security, only to be stopped by TSA officials.
“I tried to take peanut butter through airport security,” he wrote in a tweet that has since gone viral. “T.S.A.: ‘Sorry, no liquids, gels, or aerosols.’ Me: ‘I want you to tell me which of those things you think peanut butter is.”
If you’re still as confused as we are, TSA’s reply via Instagram might clear things up.
“You may not be nuts about it, but TSA considers your PB a liquid. In carry-on, it needs to be 3.4 oz. or less,” read the caption. The image in the post also stated that a “liquid has no definite shape and takes a shape dictated by its container.”
Um, okay.
Well, we’d like a tall glass of peanut butter when we land, please.

If on a sandwich with jelly is the best way to enjoy peanut butter, mixed into some cookies is definitely a close second. This recipe brings together the best of both worlds by allowing you to fill soft and chewy peanut butter cookie dough with the jelly of your choice. The only question is—grape or strawberry?
Kellogg’s discontinued its PB&J Pop Tarts before many of us were even born, but we’d wager a guess that this homemade version is better anyway. It’s made with a flakey gluten-free pie dough, filled with jam, and coated in a sweet and simple peanut butter icing.

If you prefer creamy peanut butter so far, it might be time to try out the chunky version. And vice versa. Also, you can try out different varieties, like natural or organic.
Maybe you just got tired of the consistency that your preferred brand is delivering. To see if this is the issue, give other peanut butter brands a chance.
Try experimenting with using peanut butter in different ways. For example, add some to your chicken sandwich. Or you might want to consider combining it with Nutella instead of jelly.
If everything fails, then why not make your own peanut butter? This way, you can control everything about it, including the taste profile.

Trail mixes are an easy snack to keep in your handbag to give to your kids on the go. They contain protein and fiber and are filling enough to keep them going until dinner.
Cutting up your fresh fruit and vegetables at the beginning of the week will save you time when making the kid’s afternoon snacks. Pair the fruit with some honey or peanut butter and the veggies with some hummus and you have a fiber-filled snack.
When you think of popcorn you think of butter or sugar sweet popcorn which you get at the movies. But, if popcorn is air popped with a little sprinkle of salt, it’s a really healthy snack. It’s a high-fiber whole grain that will keep your kids happy and full.

]]>Let’s first talk about the hard facts. If you take a quarter cup of peanuts, you’ll be holding 207 calories, nine grams of protein, 18 grams of fat, three grams of fiber, six carbohydrates, and one gram of sugar. Based on these numbers alone, it would appear that the calories and fat are certainly worth all of the healthy minerals you’re getting in return, as long as one eats peanut butter in moderation.
However, experts have a bit more to say regarding the wonderful health benefits of peanut butter. Apparently, there’s a lot of copper in peanut butter, which helps with our immune functionality, blood vessels, and bone health. Due to this, many believe that peanut butter can reduce one’s risk for heart disease and osteoporosis. Another study suggested that eating peanuts (or natural peanut butter) every day can decrease one’s risk of death by a whopping 21%.
Clearly, there are some truly great health benefits to peanut butter, especially the natural kind. But it’s also important to remember that it’s still high in fats and calories, so be careful not to overdo it!
