Sweeten Up Your Holiday Table With These Maple Desserts

As much as we look forward to the season of pumpkin spice, we also can’t deny that it can get old rather quickly. From coffee to pastries, hummus, and more, it seems like no product is safe from pumpkin spice-ification, while other seasonal flavors remain largely overlooked. One of our favorites is maple, with its rich, amber color and caramelly taste that makes it the perfect ingredient to use in fall baking. Here are a few maple-inspired recipes you’ll find on our tables this holiday season.

Brown Butter Maple Blondies

If you’re looking for something even more indulgent, you have to try this maple blondie recipe by baker and blogger Grandbaby Cakes. They’re quick and easy to make with less than 10 ingredients, yet packed with buttery goodness and plenty of real maple syrup.

Maple Brown Sugar Cookies

Why settle for regular sugar cookies when you can have these bad boys instead? This recipe by Sally’s Baking Addiction puts a seasonal spin on the classic treat by using brown sugar and pure maple syrup as sweeteners. A dash of maple extract amps up the fall flavor, while a luscious maple icing ties it all together.

Maple Donuts

With about as much sugar as cupcakes, we’re not sure who decided that donuts are an acceptable breakfast food, but at the same time, we’re not complaining. These baked donuts by Olives + Thyme include a moist cake base with a rich vanilla maple glaze and make for a delicious seasonal treat any time of day.
