Pork Satay is the Recipe You Need to Make

Pork satay is a delicious Indonesian specialty that will take a little more than 30 minutes of your time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot or sweet paprika
  • 4 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • grated zest 1 lime and juice 2
  • grated thumb-size piece fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 4 chopped banana shallots
  • 300 g crunchy peanut butter
  • 600 g pork leg, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar or light muscovado
  • 1 chopped red chili

Instructions:

  1. To prepare the pork satay recipe you will need a blender or a food processor. Start by adding all the ingredients in the blender, with the exclusion of the pork meat.
  2. Start blending until you get a paste.
  3. Get a bowl and add one half of the paste in it. Place the pork pieces and mix them with the paste. Leave them in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  4. Cook the rest of the paste with a splash of water in a saucepan. It should get a darker color, that way you’ll know it’s done.
  5. Get skewers and get a baking tray. Add the meat on the skewers, then place them on the baking tray. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Add the sauce on the side.
