There is nothing quite like a perfectly cooked loaf of garlic bread to really bring a meal together. Surprisingly, garlic bread is relatively easy to make and requires just a few ingredients. Try out this delicious cheesy garlic bread recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 french baguette
- 5 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- Slice the french baguette lengthwise, but keep the crust attached on one side. It should open like a book.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, oregano, and garlic. The butter should be soft enough that it easily combines and becomes the consistency of a spreadable paste.
- Spread the butter mixture inside the baguette. Make sure to completely cover both sides.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of the layer of butter. Close the bread.
- Slice bread into 1 ½ inch sections, but only cut ¾ of the way through. The loaf should still be attached on the bottom. The purpose of cutting it is to make it easy to pull apart when it’s time to eat.
- Wrap the baguette in tin foil and place in the oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the butter and cheese is melted.
- Keep wrapped in foil until it is time to be served. Enjoy!
