An ice cream sundae is a strong summer dessert, because not only is it refreshing and sweet, but it’s also filling and can be eaten at any time of day. But how do you make it to perfection? Here are some tips on how to forge the perfect ice cream sundae this summer.

3 Scoops of Dairy Vanilla Ice Cream

The ideal ice cream sundae will have three to four scoops of real dairy ice cream. You don’t want too few scoops as this won’t allow for layering. Real dairy ice cream is thick and creamy, and it’s the perfect base for the other flavors.

A Long Glass

Use a long, vertical glass for your sundae. This is the kind of glass that should be used for any kind of ice cream sundae. It allows you to build up layers.

Sauce and Slices

Drizzle on the caramel or chocolate sauce at each stage. That is, after you put in each ball of ice cream. Do the same with the banana slices. Cut them thin so that they don’t take up much space. Layer them on top of each new ball of ice cream.

Crushed Cookie

Crush some plain cookies until crumbly, and sprinkle them on top of each ball. This will add much-needed crunch. It also helps give structure to the layers.
