Smoothie bowls are super trendy, especially on social media and what’s great about them is they’re really easy to make. They’re pretty much just thicker smoothies with delicious toppings and they taste just as amazing as they look. Here’s how to make your very own smoothie bowl that you’ll want to post on Instagram.
Step 1: Choose Ingredients
Your smoothie should have protein, fat, fruit, and greens. Aim for 15-20 grams of protein from protein powder or Greek yogurt, 1 to 2 tablespoons of healthy fats like nut butter, avocados, or flaxseed, 1/4 cup of frozen fruit, and a handful of greens or veggies.
Step 2: Blend Ingredients
With a high-powered blender, blend your ingredients with a few ice cubes and a small amount of milk or water. You can add more liquid if the smoothie is too thick.
Step 3: Add Toppings
After your smoothie bowl is blended to your liking, use a spatula to put it into your favortie bowl. Top the bowl with fresh or dried fruits, nuts, and seeds.
