Vegetables don’t have to be boring. Following some quick and easy techniques, you can transform your broccoli from a healthy necessity to the best thing on the plate, and you’ll no longer need to choose between nutrients and taste. Here’s how to make delicious baked broccoli in under 20 minutes.

Preparation

Take a whole clump of broccoli and break off each individual branch. You don’t want them to be so small that they’ll burn in the oven, but you don’t want them to be too big either. A neat way of judging the size is that if you can just about fit the branch in your mouth whole, then that is roughly the size you’re after.

Seasoning

Lay the broccoli branches out on a baking tray and drizzle on olive oil. Add generous amounts of salt and pepper. When you’ve finished adding the seasoning, toss the branches around to make sure each one is covered in oil. If you like, you can also add some cloves of garlic to the tray for extra flavor.

Bake and Serve

Bake in the oven at 415 F for around 15 minutes, or until crunchy. This quick and easy dish is a great addition to almost any dish: curries, bolognese, pasta dishes, and even salads. Serve and enjoy!
