We could all do with a few new tips every now and again. It doesn’t matter how experienced you think you are at cooking, because it never hurts to learn more, especially when you’re having fun doing it! If your cooking experience has become stale, here are a few simple tricks that can make cooking easy again.

Microwave Garlic Cloves

There are few things as frustrating as trying to peel garlic and having it keep sticking to your hands. An easy way to overcome this is to stick the garlic cloves in the microwave for 30 seconds on high heat. This makes the skin just simply fall off in large strips. Easy!

Chop Vegetables On Salt

If you’re tired of bits of vegetables flying everywhere while you’re chopping them, don’t worry! Simply sprinkle some salt on the chopping board before you start chopping. This makes them stick to the board and become much better behaved.

Take Your Eggs Off Early

The number one rule for cooking perfect eggs is to cook on medium heat, and then stop cooking just before you think they’re ready. The eggs will continue cooking after you’ve taken them off the heat. This way, you’ll have perfectly cooked eggs every time.

Leave Meat To Stand

The best meat should be left to stand for at least five minutes after cooking, because this improves the flavor and the texture as well.

Don’t Overclean

It might seem odd to not overclean your pans. But actually, a pan is best if it isn’t over-scrubbed with washing liquid. This way, it retains the flavor and makes food taste better.
