Most of us have been doing lots of baking during this pandemic, but we find that we don’t always have the right cake pans. With all of the cake pans out there, which ones are actually essential? Regardless of if you’re making brownies, bread, or cakes when it comes to home baking, these are the five pans every baker should have.

Square Cake Pan

Square cake pans are best for brownies and bar cakes. Look for ones that are nonstick, so the dessert doesn’t end up getting stuck to the pan.

Round Cake Pan

Standard round cakes are best with 9-inch pans. Make sure you buy two for layer cake recipes.

Rectangular Cake Pan

For big batches of desserts like blondies and sheet cakes, a rectangular 9×13-inch cake pan is ideal. These cake pans can also be used for casserole and lasagna.

Bundt Cake Pan

Even though these pans take up more space than other pans, Bundt cakes make a statement with their eye-catching designs. You may want to get a few in different shapes.

Loaf Pan

A one-pound loaf pan which is around 9x5x3-inches and it’s useful for pound cakes, yeast breads, and quick breads.
