We know what you’re thinking: vegan eggnog is a total contradiction. How can you have eggnog without the main ingredient—egg?! Well, semantics aside, this Christmas cocktail has all the creaminess of the traditional holiday drink (without the risk of salmonella…).

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups dairy-free milk
  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk
  • 4-6 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions:

  1. Place the dairy-free milk, coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, bourbon, and spices in a blender and blend for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is frothy and creamy.
  2. Taste and adjust the flavor as needed.
  3. The ‘nog can be served chilled over ice or warmed slightly over medium heat.
