As tempting as it may by to buy pre-cut packaged pineapple to avoid the fuss, cutting it yourself helps ensure that you are getting a farm-fresh product. To avoid temptation here is a step by step instruction on how to go about getting the most out of this delicious fruit.

Slice off the top and the bottom

Lay the fruit on a chopping board then chop off the top and the bottom. Make sure to use a sharp knife (carefully!) as it’ll make the whole process much easier.

Peel off the skin

Following the fruit contours, hold the fruit while slicing down top to bottom. Redo the procedure repeatedly to ensure there are no spiky skins left on the fruit.

Make strips out of the fruit
